Here is how to schedule medications for multiple horses, give medication to individual horses, change future-dated treatment and give multiple medications to multiple horses.

On the home screen of EquiTrace, select ‘Medicate multiple horses’

Once you select this, you can schedule a future medication for multiple horses or record a current or past medication for them.

When you select ‘Schedule Medication’ you will be brought to a screen with a list of all your horses.

Here you may search horses' names or filter by Foals, Yearlings, 2y olds, 3y+, Males, Geldings, Females. You may also sort by: Name, Dam, Year, Barn.

Once you’ve selected or filtered your horses you simply select Add all horses below.

A pop up will appear to ask you to confirm if you wish to select the horses you have added. If you wish to add more you may select ‘Add More’. If not you press ‘Next’

When you select next you will be brought to the screen where you are asked to input the medication you wish to administer to these multiple horses.

You may then scan the barcode on the drug’s box by selecting ‘Scan Drug’ or you may type in the drugs name in the ‘Enter Drug (s)’ box.

When you have selected your drug you will then see a box with your drug and a quantity of how much to administer.

Adjust medication dosage quantities by selecting the edit button beside the drug you have selected. Here you may adjust the Amount, Route, Frequency and Treatment Times. Once you have happy with your adjustments, select ‘Add to list’.

If you want to add a second medication to the selected list of horses you just added the previous drug to simply repeat the above steps. Once you have completed, select Done on the bottom right-hand side of the screen.
You will be then brought to ‘Chose Date for Medication’. Select the date you wish to schedule your medication(s) for multiple horses.

If you wish for the medication scheduled to repeat you may select either None, Once, Beginning of month or Every. If you select ‘Once’ you may select when it will repeat again. You may select in days, weeks or years. If you select ‘Beginning of month’ you may select how many days at the beginning of each month for this drug to be scheduled for. You may also select ‘Until date’ and select a date. You may also choose ‘For Pregnancy’ or ‘Until Stopped’. If you wish to repeat the medication every X amount of time you may adjust to do this. You may repeat every day, week or year and select a number of days, weeks or years you want your scheduled medication to be repeated.

Alternatively you may select a day of the week for the medication to repeat and until a date of your choosing, for the mare's pregnancy or until the medication is stopped.

When you select your preferred schedule, you will then be asked if you want to be notified when repeat medication is due. You can select yes or no. When you’ve completed the above steps you must then select ‘Next’ at the bottom of the screen.
You will be brought to Drugs Scheduled screen. Here you will review your scheduled medication. You can edit the date you wish to start your medication. You can see the medication(s) you have scheduled and for what horses. If you are not happy with all the details you may go back and change the medication, the time it has been scheduled for, and the horses it has been scheduled for. Once you are happy with your scheduled medication and the horses that are on the list you must then press ‘Confirm’ on the bottom right-hand side of the screen.
Once you press confirm your medication(s) for multiple horses will be scheduled.

If you forget to record an already given medication don’t worry you can input a past or backdated medication. To input a past medication for one horse you must do the following steps. On the home screen of your EquiTrace select the top button which says ‘Find Horse’. You will then have a full list of your horses on this screen. You may filter this screen by Name, Barn, Dam, Recent. You can also search by horse name. Select the horse you wish to input past medications into. On the horse profile, select ‘Treatments for this Horse’ Once selected, you will select the bottom ‘Add Previous Treatment’.

You may then scan the drug’s box barcode by selecting ‘Scan Drug’ or alternatively you may type in the drugs name in the ‘Enter Drug’ box.

Adjust medication dosage quantities by selecting the edit button beside the drug you have selected. Here you may adjust the Amount in ml, Route, Frequency and Treatment Times.

Depending on the competition authority your animal is competition under you may change this by selecting ‘Change’ beside the blue bar that says ‘Based on’.

In the empty boxes below, you may input ‘Condition Treated’, ‘Prescribing Veterinarian’ and if it is applicable to you, you can enter in the ‘HISA number of Prescribing Veterinarian’.

Once you have selected the medication you would like and completed the above steps you must select ‘Record Previous Treatment’. Once you select this button a pop up will appear where you must state the date and time of first treatment. You must also mark the entire course up to the current time as given and select confirm. Once you select confirm, the medication will be marked as given on the past date you have selected.

On the home screen of your EquiTrace app select the top button which says ‘Find Horse’.You will then have a full list of your horses on this screen. You may filter this screen by Name, Barn, Dam, and Recent. You can also search by horse name.Once you have found your chosen horse, select the horse and you will be brought to the horse's profile.

Select ‘Treatments for this Horse’. You will then be brought to the Treatments page.

You have three options on this screen - you can view your treatment record, add a new drug or add a previous treatment. You may input a previous treatment if you have missed one. If you are inputting a current treatment select ‘Add New Drug’. You may then scan the barcode on the drug’s box by selecting ‘Scan Drug’ or alternatively you may type in the drug's name in the ‘Enter Drug’ box.
Adjust medication dosage quantities by selecting the edit button beside the drug you have selected. Here you may adjust the Amount, Route, Frequency and Treatment Times. If the medication needs to be given a number of times a day you may select ‘Frequency’ and select ‘Custom’ for your desired number of times per day. If the medication must be given over several days, you must select ‘Repeat/Delay’ and select ‘On/Edit’ where you may select your desired days or weeks the medication must repeat.

Depending on the competition authority your animal is competing under you may change this by selecting ‘Change’ beside the blue bar that says ‘Based on’.
In the empty boxes below, you can input ‘Reason for Administration’, ‘Prescribing Veterinarian’ and if applicable to you ‘Prescribing Veterinarian’.

Once you have selected the medication you would like and completed the above steps you must select ‘Give now’ or ‘Start a Xpm’ here you can select a time you want the medication course to begin. Once you select this button a pop-up will appear where it will state the medication, route, dose and time of administration. If you are happy with this, you select ‘Yes’. If you are not happy with this select ‘No’ and edit as desired.

On the home screen of your EquiTrace App, select the top button which says ‘Find Horse’. You will then have a full list of your horses on this screen. You may filter this screen by Name, Barn, Dam, Recent. You can also search by horse name.
Once you have found your chosen horse you will be brought to the horse's profile.

Select ‘Treatments for this Horse’. Once you have selected this you will be brought to the treatments page.

Here you will be able to view scheduled treatments for this horse. If you wish to change the time of the future dated treatment, you must select the ‘Starting’ button and here you may change the time for when you would like the treatment to be scheduled for.

If you would like to record medications or treatments for a group of horses, select ‘medicate multiple horses’. Once you have selected ‘medicate multiple horses’ then you may choose between ‘Schedule Medication’ and ‘Record Medication’. Select ‘Record Medication’. Select a date and time for your medication to be recorded. Input the name of the vet who has administered the medication. You must also input the name of who recorded the medication or treatment. This is prepopulated with the username.

You must then select ‘Next’.

Here you must choose your horses. You may search for your desired horses name or filter by Foals, Yearlings, 2yo olds, 3y+, Males, Geldings or Females. You may also sort by Name, Dam, Year and Barn. Once you have chosen your desired horses (If you choose all of a specific filter you may choose ‘Add all horses below’), a popup will appear and you will confirm if you are happy with this list of chosen horses or if you wish to add more. Once you have chosen your horses you must then input your drug. Here you may type the drugs name or scan the drugs barcode by selecting ‘Scan Drug’.

Once you have selected your medication you may adjust medication dosage quantities by selecting the edit button beside the drug you have selected.

Here you may adjust the Amount in ml, Route, Frequency and Treatment Times. Once you have adjusted the medication accordingly you may then select ‘Add to list’. If you wish to add another medication you must repeat the above steps. Once you have your medications selected you must then select ‘Done’. You will be brought to the next screen where you can confirm the names of the horses, date and the medication you are about to record. If you are unhappy with any of the details, you may edit. If you are happy then you may press ‘Confirm’ and the medication will be recorded.
