General App Settings
In the EquiTrace app, users can follow these steps to adjust the app settings.
On the EquiTrace app's Home Screen, you can select Other Features and then Settings. Here, you can turn on or off notifications for treatments due and missed.
You can also choose to record temperature data in Centigrade or Fahrenheit. You can choose to change your location to either Northern or Southern Hemisphere. You can also choose to protect your app through the use of Face ID or Touch ID.
How to Edit and Save Preferred Settings.
Once you are happy with your settings, you can select save and continue.
Your setting preferences have now been saved.
Forgot or lost your password?
If you have forgotten your EquiTrace password or have deleted the app, you will need to do the following.
Step 1 - Download the EquiTrace Pro App
You can download the App from the App Store for iOS iPhones or from the Google Play Store for Android Phones.
Step 2 - Open your EquiTrace Pro App
Click on your newly downloaded EquiTrace App, and the first screen, you will see three options:
You will see a button that gives you the option to purchase a scanner if you would like to use EquiTrace with a scanner or if you have BioThermo® Microchips that you want to monitor the temperature with. EquiTrace also works without a scanner.
You have the option to watch a video of the App in Action.
Or you can press ok and move to the next step tome to the next steps.
Notifications:
The next screen that appears will be the notification screen. On this screen, you can select Yes or No. If you opt not to receive notifications, you can still use the app, but you will not receive alerts for treatment, vaccination reminders, or notifications due or missed, as well as when a horse is scanned on a different farm. If you select Yes, please also press Allow on the pop-up that appears; this will enable notifications.
GPS Location:
On the next screen, you will see information regarding the GPS location of each horse when it is scanned. Please choose Yes to allow location so that the system can generate complete movement records of horses. When a pop-up appears, you can choose Allow while using App.
Step 3 - Enter the Account Name
On the next screen, you can enter the farm or business name of the EquiTrace account you are signing back into, making sure that the spelling, capitalisation, and spacing are accurate.
Step 4 - Existing User
You will then arrive at the NEW USERS page. However, since you are not a new user, select ‘Press here if you are at the top of the screen. This action will take you to the existing user's page. Enter your username, then click the Forgot Password box at the bottom right of the screen. A code will be sent to your cell/mobile number. This will bring you to the existing user's page. Type in your username and then select the Forgot Password box on the bottom right-hand side of the screen. You will then be sent a code to your cell/mobile number.
A popup will appear on your phone screen asking you to reset your password. Please enter the code sent to you via SMS and press OK.
Step 5 - Reset Password
Once you press ok, you will be returned to your password entry, where you can reset your password.
You may use a strong password, or if you wish to use your own other options on the keyboard, then select ‘Choose My Password’, press save, password, select and continue.
A second pop-up will say EquiTrace wants to use Bluetooth for new connections. Select settings, select Allow New Connections, and return to the EquiTrace app.
You will then have reset your password and have access to your EquiTrace account.
Export Data from EquiTrace
On your EquiTrace App home screen, select the Reports button.
On the next screen, you can filter a time frame for when you want to export your data.
The data here is for all horses on your EquiTrace account.
If you want recent data from today or yesterday, you can select two auto prompt buttons at the top of the screen. If you wish to filter further back, you must select a start date and end date in the boxes.
Selecting the type of data you wish to export as a Report
Once you have done this, select one of the following options: View scans and temperature, Horse notes, Treatment records, Stall and field history, Reproduction notes, or Competition.
On the next screen, when you select the data you want to export, ARE in the top right-hand corner. Click you will see SH this button.
Select how you would like to Export this Data
A pop-up will appear asking in what format you’d like to export your data: Direct Print, SMS, Share PDF, or Share CSV.
Once you select your desired format, it will show you how you’d like to export. You may export your data via email, WhatsApp, SMS, or airdrop.
