What are Divisions in EquiTrace?

If you have an account on EquiTrace, you can now choose if you want to use the new Divisions feature. Divisions are the splitting up of smaller branches or yards within a main farm on the EquiTrace app for easier management for both staff and managers.

An example of how you can use divisions is as follows:

I have a main farm account called EquiTrace Farm. All of my horses are on this account. However, I have several yards within my farm. I am the farm account owner; therefore, I can create a division representing each of these yards.

I, as the account owner, can create:

I can assign the correct horses to each of these divisions and move them between divisions on the EquiTrace app, as the horse physically moves between yards. This movement record can help with traceability and biosecurity.

I can also assign staff members to one, multiple or all divisions. This can help staff members know which divisions and horses they have access to.

An EquiTrace farm account can have an unlimited number of divisions on EquiTrace.

Only the farm account owner can create or add new divisions to an EquiTrace farm account.

To create or add a division, select the Other Features button on the EquiTrace app Home Screen. Select the Manage Divisions button. Here, you will see any Divisions that you may have already created. Below this, you can select the Add Division button.

You will see a new empty text field where you can enter the name of the division you would like to create. Once you have entered the name of your Division, select 'Save' on the top right-hand side of the keyboard. This Division has now been created.

To edit a Division name, you must be the farm account owner.

To edit a Division name, select the Other Features button. Next, select the Manage Divisions button. Here, a list of the Divisions currently created on the farm will appear. Next, select the division name you wish to edit. Once you have edited it, you can select save. This division's name will be updated.

If you are a user of more than one division of your EquiTrace farm account, you can switch between these divisions.

To switch between divisions, select the pie icon at the top left-hand corner of the app's home screen. Here, the Divisions to which you have access will appear.

To select the Division you wish to view, select the tick on the left of the Outfarm Name and select Done. Your Find Horse list will now display the horses assigned to this Division.

To view a list of horses in each division, select. Select AdvancedFind Horse, then search. On the advanced search page, select Divisions. Here, all divisions will appear.

Select the division you would like to view and select done. Once you have selected done, you must then select search where you will be brought to a list of horses in the division you have chosen.

You can delete a division from your EquiTrace Farm account

The farm/ account owner is the only person who can delete a farm/ account division.

To delete a division, select the Other Features button. Next, select the Manage Divisions button. Here, your existing divisions will appear. Beside each division, you will see a red circle, which you can select to delete your chosen division.

A pop-up will appear and ask you to confirm whether you wish to delete this division. Select Yes on the popup, and the division will be deleted.

If you delete a division, any horses previously assigned to this division will be unassigned. You can then assign these horses to another division if you wish.

Deleting a division will not delete all the horses within this division.
